Frequently asked questions
The trial, billing, and what you get — answered plainly.
The free trial
How does the 3-day free trial work?
Create an account, choose a monthly or annual plan, and you get 3 full days of every feature at no cost. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged.
Do I need a payment method to start the trial?
Yes — checkout asks for a payment method so your access continues smoothly if you decide to stay. You can cancel anytime during the trial and pay nothing.
What happens when my trial ends?
If you keep your plan, billing begins automatically at the plan price you chose. If you cancel during the trial, your access simply ends — no charge, no follow-up steps.
Billing & cancellation
How much does it cost after the trial?
Monthly is $9.99 per month, or Annual is $99.99 per year — about two months free compared to paying monthly.
How do I cancel?
Open your Membership page and choose cancel. It takes a moment, and your access continues until the end of your current paid period or trial.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from your order date. See the Refund Policy for details.
Who processes my payment?
Payments are handled securely by Paddle, our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
What's included
What does Steady in the Moment actually do?
It gives you practical support for hard moments: ready-to-copy words for difficult conversations, gentle grounding and breathing practices, and a quiet, private space to write.
What can I do for free without an account?
You can use the SOS scripts, grounding and Calm & Focus practices, and read everything on the site. Creating an account lets you save your own scripts, and a trial or plan keeps them available across visits.
Are the AI scripts private?
Yes. Scripts you save live in your private Pocket Toolkit, visible only to you. Nothing you write in the journal or venting space is shared.
Is this therapy or medical advice?
No. Steady in the Moment is an informational and educational self-support tool. It is not therapy, medical, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
